NTUT and Kyushu University Hold the 4th Japan–Taiwan Symposium to Strengthen Collaboration on Optoelectronic Materials and Devices
National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) and Kyushu University jointly hosted the 4th Japan–Taiwan Symposium 2026 on July 31 at the International Conference Hall of the Hong-Yue Technology Research Building, NTUT. Centered on the theme "Novel Optoelectronic Materials and Devices," the symposium brought together leading researchers from both universities to exchange the latest research findings and strengthen international academic collaboration in the fields of optoelectronics, semiconductors, and organic electronic materials.
The symposium commenced with welcome remarks delivered by Vice Presidents Yu-Hsien Huang and Tun-Wen Pai of NTUT, followed by the opening address by Professor Chih-Ching Kuo from the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology. The program featured four technical sessions with presentations by distinguished faculty members from Kyushu University and NTUT. Topics covered a broad range of cutting-edge research, including OLED emissive materials, neuromorphic devices, perovskite solar cells, spectroscopic analysis, organic lasers, and advanced optoelectronic devices, highlighting the research excellence and complementary strengths of both institutions.
In addition to the technical presentations, participants took part in laboratory tours, campus visits, and research discussions designed to foster closer collaboration and facilitate future joint research initiatives. As one of NTUT's long-standing international partner universities, Kyushu University has maintained a close academic relationship with NTUT through continuous exchanges and collaborative activities. By hosting this symposium, both institutions reaffirm their commitment to promoting international research collaboration, cultivating global talent, and advancing scientific innovation, thereby contributing to the continued development of higher education and research partnerships between Taiwan and Japan.
